Okay, a few other friends and photographers have started sharing some interesting confessions the last few weeks. And now I'm joining in...
Confession: LinkedIn is not my thing!
Let me explain...
It's not that I don't like LinkedIn. It's not that I don't want to use it. It's just that I don't yet understand it.
Like other networks like Facebook & Twitter, I pop on to LinkedIn at least once a day. I have my profile. I know how to send and accept invites. I have the messages down. I even made a company page.
I have been looking at other people's profiles & other company pages know that there is so much more I could (and should be) doing. This year I'm making choices of how I want my business to appear. Large companies have different ways of doing things. Take for instance NetFlix. Their LinkedIn page is all about the updates right away. You get the info on what's happening as soon as you visit their page. Then you look at a page like NetSpend on LinkedIn and they have news to share but start with a beautiful graphic that gives you a feel for the company before you start reading.
The part that I don't get from there is how to use it best to make real connections and share resources best.
Now that my confession is out there I'm asking - What is your best LinkedIn tip?
