My Boxing Day Style Wishlist

It's boxing day - let the craziness begin! As people flock to the stores and the online shopping sites looking for the best deal I'm looking for deals too. The big difference? I go in with a wishlist and a budget.
This year, these are my top wishlist items to add to my wardrobe this year....
1) Great Sweaters
It's winter and I love a great cozy sweater. I can easily live all winter in my hoodies so I have high demands of a sweater - it must be warm, comfy, well fitted, and easy to care for. I mean, I want to look good!
2) Little Black Dress
Who doesn't love a great little black dress. This year I'm looking for something cute but with a touch of elegance and sophistication. I love the one included above - It's a great length, I love the inclusion of the lace on the top half, and I can think of half a dozen or more occasions it's perfect for right off the top of my head. Look for something with an interesting detail instead of the basic black dress.
3) Bright Wrap Dress
What can I say? Wrap dresses are flattering on just about every body type and a bold pop of colour helps to bring the outfit alive. A dress like this purple number is just as at home in the office as it is on a date night or night out on the town.
4) Long A-Line Topper
I love, love, LOVE jackets so they always end up on my wish list. Last year I picked up a great shorter jacket with super wide lapels, this year I'm looking for an elegant longer (knee length) a-line topper (Think Kate Middleton style) for dressier occasions. Anything that keeps me warm and nips in the waist is always a good choice.
5) Teal Blazer
I'm totally crushing on teal and 2013's Pantone Colour of the Year emerald - I know I will be adding these colours to my layering pieces but I'm also on the hunt for a great tailored blazer in a beautiful teal or emerald shade to add some wow factor to work outfits and jeans alike!
6) Long Pencil Skirt
Everyone knows a pencil skirt is flattering on just about anybody but I'm loving the longer style (just below the knee) pencil skirt. I've had a heck of a time finding one in person but if I can score one of these I will be a happy woman.
What items are on your wish list this boxing day? Tell me all about them (and any great deals you score) in the comments below!

Style Me Monday: Must Have Item - Nude Pumps

Okay I admit - I'm obsessed! From Red Carpet to Royalty nude pumps (think of Catharine, Duchess of Cambridge and her now signature LK Bennett Nude Pumps) are the go to footwear this year. For me this is a no-brainer. Season after season, 2012 has brought us fabulous bold and rich colours in every item of clothing and accessories possible. With all of this colour, it's great to have a classic nude pump to anchor any outfit for any occasion. To demonstrate this I've put together 6 different outfits for different occasions.
Coloured Jeans - I love this look. I'm loving this trend of colour slim jeans and jeggings that gives the colour in a comfortable outfit that is just as at home at coffee with the girls, or a night at the movies.
Teal Day Dress - A great way to include colour for the office. A great fitted dress in a rich hue like this peacock tone is right at home in the office with a taupe and coral clutch, and classic nude pumps and minimal accessories.
Oxblood Fitted Blazer - Going into fall this outfit is fabulous! Whether running errands around town, headed back to class, catching up with friends, or a casual day at the office, this outfit capitalizes on the Oxblood trend surfacing for fall in the jacket with classic everyday items - dark denim, cream tank, dainty (but sparkly) studs, and nude pumps.
Black, Nude, and Lace - For a classy night out on the town you can pull together the classic little black dress with nude pumps and a touch of lace. Add a little sparkle with chandelier earrings and you're ready for a night of dinner, dancing, an art gallery opening, and whatever else may come your way.
Summer in the City - With the heat still upon us in many cities in North America, a shorts option is always important. I love this option with another set of great basics with a punch of colour in the structured jacket and clutch.
Royal Purple - This is one of my favourite outfits by far! I love the rich, royal feel of the purple dress with faux wrap details. By keeping the accessories elegant but neutral you keep the focus on your outfit while still showing off a polished, pulled together look.
Top Five things I love about Nude Pumps:
1. They can go from day to night with classic neutrals & pastels or today's bold colours
2. There is a style for everyone from peeptoes to pumps to ballet flats
3. With wide offerings you can find the right shade (with the right undertone) to flatter your skin tone
4. They lengthen the leg line (and who doesn't love looking like they have legs up to there!)
5. They're available in every price range
