Style Me Monday: Spring Classics Accessories

As I was preparing for my vacation and the first day of spring was approaching, it was time to pick up some classic warm weather essentials for my vacation style. To me, the reappearence of these things just screams warm weather and sunshine.
As the days grow longer and warmer, what accessories will become your warm weather staples?

Wedding Wednesday: Hair Style of the Month

OMG I'm in love! I saw this hairstyle and just knew I needed to post it right away.
The hair is swept up off the face opening the face, showcasing any jewellery you may be wear, or details on the top of the wedding gown. The way the hair is swept up in multiple sections and pinned with some volume creates shape and texture and keeps the updo from looking to severe.
The curls are beautifully done, pinned in place tapering down to the long piece extending down your back (or in the case of the image over your shoulder).
Here I've paired the hair style with a hairband with a darker detail so it accents but doesn't distract from the beautiful style. Depending on your style, a small tiara, a jeweled headband, or some embellished hair pins would also be great additions.
I love the beauty, romance, and texture of this look. It can be paired with any style from a full ball gown to a slim fit and flare silhouette and still look amazing.
What would you use to accessorize this style?

Wedding Day Accessories

On your wedding day, there are a ton of details to think of. For some brides these are the fun, for others these are the frustration. I personally think they are half the fun! This is a place for you to really be able to infuse your day with a little more you! Whether it's classic white roses for centre pieces, beautifully engraved crystal champagne flutes, blinged up shoes, a touch of colour on the ring bearers pillow, or a fabulously unique cake like this butterfly encased four tier cake.
All these pieces together create a classic wedding feel to me but with a bit of personality! What's your favourite item? How are you (or did you) add personality into your wedding day?

Style Me Mondays - Style Inspiration!

Welcome to the first Style Me Mondays! I'm so excited to get started with my weekly style & fashion post. I start out by admitting something to you...I have an addiction. An addiction to Fashion, Style, Clothing, Shoes, Belts, Jewellery, and Accessories of any type! I don't always love shopping but there's so many amazing finds to be had that it comes with the teritory.

So where do I get my inspiration? Well I have an assortment of books which I regularly add to...I'm a photographer after all, and I love checking out photo rich books like these.

I also have a few go to magazines when I'm looking for inspiration, trends, and hot new pieces. Top of the list is my love for In Style magazine with Vogue running a close second. Many of the items showcased in these magazines are beyond my budget and often beyond the practicalities of my daily life but there's inspiration to be had in the colours, shapes, and combinations showcased within their pages.

Being a huge fan of the digital age, the internet is a growing source of inspiration also. I've been collection some of my favourite looks, items, and inspirations in a pinterest board.
