My Boxing Day Style Wishlist

It's boxing day - let the craziness begin! As people flock to the stores and the online shopping sites looking for the best deal I'm looking for deals too. The big difference? I go in with a wishlist and a budget.
This year, these are my top wishlist items to add to my wardrobe this year....
1) Great Sweaters
It's winter and I love a great cozy sweater. I can easily live all winter in my hoodies so I have high demands of a sweater - it must be warm, comfy, well fitted, and easy to care for. I mean, I want to look good!
2) Little Black Dress
Who doesn't love a great little black dress. This year I'm looking for something cute but with a touch of elegance and sophistication. I love the one included above - It's a great length, I love the inclusion of the lace on the top half, and I can think of half a dozen or more occasions it's perfect for right off the top of my head. Look for something with an interesting detail instead of the basic black dress.
3) Bright Wrap Dress
What can I say? Wrap dresses are flattering on just about every body type and a bold pop of colour helps to bring the outfit alive. A dress like this purple number is just as at home in the office as it is on a date night or night out on the town.
4) Long A-Line Topper
I love, love, LOVE jackets so they always end up on my wish list. Last year I picked up a great shorter jacket with super wide lapels, this year I'm looking for an elegant longer (knee length) a-line topper (Think Kate Middleton style) for dressier occasions. Anything that keeps me warm and nips in the waist is always a good choice.
5) Teal Blazer
I'm totally crushing on teal and 2013's Pantone Colour of the Year emerald - I know I will be adding these colours to my layering pieces but I'm also on the hunt for a great tailored blazer in a beautiful teal or emerald shade to add some wow factor to work outfits and jeans alike!
6) Long Pencil Skirt
Everyone knows a pencil skirt is flattering on just about anybody but I'm loving the longer style (just below the knee) pencil skirt. I've had a heck of a time finding one in person but if I can score one of these I will be a happy woman.

Style Me Monday: Fall Fashion Inspiration

Fall is here, it's in the air, on the trees and falling to the ground with every leaf. With fall comes some exciting things...halloween, pumpkins, cozy sweaters, amazing jackets, adorable booties, sumptuous scarves....
This first outfit is definitely a fall favorite for me. We all have that favorite pair of jeans that fits just perfect. They looked great all summer long with tiny tanks and now they transition into fall with a few tweaks. Here I've pair a pair of mid wash skinnies with classic nude pumps, and oversized bag, and a great jacket.
I love this jacket for it's great fall colour, button details, and great A-line shape and wrap styling to accent the best of you body giving a great hourglass shape. I love the way they have popped the back of the collar for some attitude, and tie the waist into an adorable bow for a feminine touch.
The second outfit capitalizes on a popular colour this season in green. I love a great kelly or emerald green in any outfit ranging from green jeans, to a pop of colour in the accessories. Almost everyone can pull this colour off so for your next fall date, try a great dress like this one in the solid hue.
I love the shape of this dress for its fitted bodice, defined waist, and softly flared skirt. Top it with a great A-line wool topper, a neutral pump with adorable details, and a clutch with a complimentary pop of colour and you're ready for dinner, movies, the art gallery, or anywhere the night might take you!
This last look might just be my favorite look for everyday. It's a totally cute, comfy, toasty warm, and great for that transitional time when you don't always need an extra layer but the short sleeves are a little too cool. This thin sweater gives the outfit both physical warmth and a pop of warm colour on the cool days with a great pair of jeans, ankle booties, a comfy scarf looped around your neck, and an optional perfect pea coat in grey to top off the look!
