We've moved! Rebecca Nash Photography has a new home

As many clients over the last 6 years can attest, I have always been excited to meet with clients in person as part of the wedding preparation process.

Sometimes we meet in my home, other times in starbucks, and yet other times in the clients home.

This always comes with a few challenges in making it a great environment, and in being able to showcase all the products any client is interested in.

Enter the new office!

It's not big or fancy, but it doesn't need to be.

The goal of the office is one thing and one thing only... to give Rebecca Nash Photography a space where I can focus everything on giving clients the very best experience possible from the moment they walk in the door. This space is about meeting the needs of each and every one of you whenever you have a need to meet with me.

This week I'm excited to welcome the first couples into this space.

FYI: In order to continue to serve my fabulous brides (and grooms) best, the office will be by appointment only to keep focused on helping each and every couple.

Find us at the new office at

Finding my Creative Groove in the new Office space

These last few weeks have been fun with the adventure of setting up a new office in my home. There was nothing wrong with the old office, but this space is just better for me. It also made me take a moment to really look at what I had in my office.

When I moved in 4 years ago, everything was just dumped into the office and shoved in anywhere I could find space. Now with a new space, new storage, and more stuff it was time for a big clean up, sort, & organize.

I'm nowhere near done but making steady progress. I'm excited to keep organizing but also to decorate the space to be both efficient and inspiring! I want to come into the space and feel energized about working, connecting, creating, and learning every single day!

I started with an empty space with one key feature I didn't have downstairs...a big, beautiful window that allows me to watch my daughter play in the backyard, watch birds darting in and out of our bird houses, and see the flowers groing in the garden. It let's me feel connected outside my 4 walls. It also lets in light. Beautiful natural light just pours in and helps me stay positive all day long!

The first thing I did, of course, was set up my desk & computer right next to that beautiful window. For a few days, that's all there was. The rest of my office sat in tubs, boxes and piles all over the family room floor.

Then, I came home one day and found this on the office floor...

My Fiance had heard me saying I needed to pick some of these up to get my stuff organized in the office. I was stoked because I knew I could get started.

Then, the next night I walked in and found this...20140509_054049

While I was out, someone had built my shelves for me and I was ready to rock and roll!

Now a few weeks in, the office is still a mess as I arrange and rearrange items on the shelf but I'm starting to turn my thoughts towards decor. I have one painting already hanging (an original piece by Shannon Moyer-Szemenyei from SweetStellas). I know I will need bulletin boards or magnetic white boards for the various pieces of paper and notes on projects on the go. This time though, I want to make the space more inviting. More Inspiring!

Enter the wall art shop at Chapters with works from Minted. I love browsing these beautiful images and works of typography and have a few favourites in mind for my office.

I can't wait to pick up a few of these pieces, and some beautiful frames and get them on the frame ledges above my desk!

What else would you add to make a space both efficient and inspiring? I'd love to hear your thought so jot them down in the comments below.

Weekend Accomplishment

It's done, Finally! I made the time and did some serious sorting, cleaning, and organizing in the office. For those of you who have been in my office you will see a distinctive difference...for those who haven't let me put it this way...I'm a pile sorter, and as of this morning you couldn't see half the floor or any of the desktop. Now the place is organized, tidy, and has a system to keep it that way.

Still to do... -put up second fabric bulletin board -replace lights (really yellow and doesn't light desk well) -sort through bookshelves to get rid of the items I never touch

It's still a big task but it will definitely a lot better (and a lot more inviting to work in) than before!
