The Photographic, Video, and Digital Imaging Show

Okay so as anyone who attended already knows, the show once again rocked! It seemed a little smaller than in the past but also didn’t seem as busy so I’m guessing there’s a reason. There were tons of great exhibitors, fabulous seminars (oh yeh, that’s right, I spent almost three full days in seminars because I love to learn ie...I’m a geek), and tons of friendly people. I was glad to have the opportunity to speak to professionals I have met before including John Williamson from F.J.Westcott, Micheal Willems from MVW Photo, and Kristian Bogner. All fantastic guys with a lot of wisdom and inspiration to share. I totally had one of those moments when you can’t believe someone remembers you. All three of these guys recognized me from last year which was amazing for me! As per usual I also made some new acquaintances such as Wayne MacPhail who taught me a little more about social media and taking videos on my DSLR, Amber the woman behind @WestcottCo on twitter, and so many others. Workshops covered a full range of topics and I was thrilled to sit in on so many. Lighting, portraits, posing, daily imagery, taking time to look around, getting in close...we heard about it all. New this year was the DSLR Video seminars on lighting, camera movement, and audio. Look for an introduction video to be added to the site soon! okay guys, this week is crazy so this is the end of the post for today but watch for part two coming soon with some of the most interesting and useful tips I picked up over the weekend...
