Sneak Peek - A beautiful backyard wedding for Catherine & Jacob

COVID may have changed the plan, but these two never gave up on the idea of celebrating their I do’s this summer with the people who meant the most at their side.

Today I’m thrilled to share a sneak peek of Catherine & Jacob’s wedding day!

In their words…

About You

Tell us How you first met? Who What when where why? Give us the dirty details.

Mutual friends decided that we needed to meet, because I (Catherine) was unhappy with the person I was with at the time. They introduced us at Cowboys, and we danced together all night, then he walked me home. We were friends for a while before it turned into anything more.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Talking about it after the fact, we both knew the same day. We had gone to the beach with friends, but spent the whole time talking to each other and playing in the water.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

The thing I love most about Catherine is that she is always willing to put somebody else's needs above her own. The thing I love most about Jacob is his playful nature. He isn't afraid to act silly or have a good time.

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

Every time Catherine concentrates on anything she sticks her tongue out slightly. Jacob initiates a slow dance in the kitchen at least once a day.

Saying I Do

Tell us about the proposal.

Jacob had a big elaborate plan for the May 24 weekend but the ring did not come in on time so he had to pivot to plan B. I woke up on my birthday and asked him for a glass of water and when he came back he had the ring in hand and dropped to one knee. You could say he was nervous because when he opened the ring box he opened it upside down. Luckily it didnt fall out LOL

Besides getting married --‐ what’s the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Jacob - I was excited to see Catherine for the first time so I'm glad we did the first look

Catherine - I was excited to see Jacob's reaction to the first look

What’s your favorite trend for weddings right now?

Witty wedding favors that are tied to pandemic theme

What inspired your décor or theme?

We had a totally different plan for our other venue. We had always planned on rustic but once we decided on having it at our new location everything fell into place about what we needed and we both really happy on how it turned out

What’s one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

That there was going to be a pandemic LOL But actually we wished that we knew the day was going to happen the way is going to happen so there was no need to stress as much in the weeks leading up
